I supported Art Baby again and had such a fun, inspiring day! I got to observe babies exploring — one was completely obsessed with cables and coloured torches, while others crawled under bright orange tents. The session featured a brand-new set of sensory toys by Sarah Marsh , developed through her Sensory Toolkit. These objects are designed to spark curiosity, encourage touch and movement, and support playful learning — and it was amazing to see how engaged the babies were as they explored them during a lively “flying the babies” exercise session (sketch 2).
Last time I focused on quick observations, but this session I tried to use my free time to zoom in on recognisable scenes, colours, textures, and the energy of the moment. Volunteering alongside engaging with Sarah Marsh’s sensory toolkit was a wonderful way to combine hands-on practice with my own creative exploration.
