The Whitworth (Manchester)
I support public programmes across the gallery, working with diverse audiences including babies, children, families, and ethnic minority communities. This includes assisting Art Baby sessions, where I help facilitate sensory-based creative learning for infants and toddlers alongside their carers.
I have also supported Afrocats x The Whitworth, preparing materials and guiding participants through creative activities responding to John Lyons’ Carnavalesque exhibition. These workshops combined making, movement, music, and storytelling to celebrate African culture in a gallery context.
In addition to facilitation, I provide front-of-house and reception support for academic and cultural events, including welcoming researchers, guest speakers, and the public, and helping ensure events run smoothly and accessibly.
Manchester Pride
As an Accessibility Officer, I supported festival-goers with a wide range of access needs during large-scale public events. This role required attentiveness, clear communication, and calm problem-solving in busy environments, ensuring participants felt safe, supported, and included.
Community Revival UK
My worked with Community Revival UK combines research, education, and community engagement. I have assisted with research and funding applications focused on social cohesion, and delivered IELTS preparation lessons to children from non-English-speaking families, adapting teaching methods to individual learning styles and needs.
University of St Andrews Museums
As a student researcher, I worked on projects examining how digital museum collections can be integrated into teaching and learning. I assessed digital resources and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to improve accessibility and engagement.
I worked with Exhibit, a digital storytelling platform using high-resolution 2D and 3D images of artworks, manuscripts, and rare objects, exploring how digital tools can support inclusive humanities education.
