from May 2020 to April 2021, I worked to complete my A Levels personal investigation. I found inspiration in fabric, drapery and sculpture, especially studying artists such as Auguste Rodin, Tristan Piggott, David Hocknet and Jenny Saville. Ideas previously found in my 2019 project on still-life, stains and fabric also informed my piece, most notably Lauren Letinsky's minimalism, Barbara Hepworth's sculptural forms and Alison Watt's paintings of drapery. I also completed a 4000 word essay on viewing the works of Frida Kahlo, Paula Rego and Jenny Saville through a Feminist lens.
